The Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for maintaining compliance with federal, local and state taxing authorities on behalf of Colas USA and its subsidiaries, contribute to compliance reporting, and complete analysis for potential tax implication for the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparation of Federal, Multi-State and local corporate income tax returns for multiple business entities.
  • Assist with federal and state income tax estimates and extensions.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the annual and semiannual ASC 740 tax provision calculation.
  • Assist in tax audits, responses to notices and other tax-related inquiries.
  • Perform technical tax research on a variety of federal and state tax topics.
  • Review tax depreciation and amortization calculations.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual tax reporting packages for affiliate corporations.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA license a plus.
  • 2-4 years' experience in income tax compliance for a large corporation or equivalent experience with a large public accounting firm.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent research, writing and communication skills.
  • Experience using OneSource income tax software and Sage fixed asset software preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 is preferred
