Job description

Our Construction and Power client is seeking a Solutions Purchase for the UK & Ireland to work on a permanent basis

Candidate must have experience in the construction industry

Location of person can be flexible.
Purchasing and negotiating best buy
Measuring and driving compliance
Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Running and creating various SAP Reports
Update, administrate and manage Supplier Management database and SAP vendor database
Support Purchasing Manager with internal projects, initiatives and processes
Updating and controlling database of 3rd party spend
Analyzing and policing supplier purchasing costs
Support, administrate and coordinate RFQ process
Sending out, updating and controlling Supplier Performance Surveys
Updating Managers Tool Sets with all the spend data, savings and other information required from various systems
Log, drive and track savings at tender and execution stages
Contact internal stakeholders to record costs and measure against benchmarking exercises
Manage and contact internal stakeholders to update purchasing reports, data and information
Drive internal actions associated to purchasing
Manage supplier documents (qualification and quality)
Contact and request information or proposals from Suppliers
Creating PowerPoint Presentations, spreadsheets or documents
Completing internal and external applications or forms
Booking and organizing of meetings, events conference calls.
Administrate and manage purchasing tools and pipeline
Support Purchasing Manager on various leadership tasks
Support other requested project or purchasing exercises

Experience Required:

Experience within the construction industry

Experience of working to deadlines and processes is important to achieve objectives

Skilled and highly competent with IT systems and Microsoft Office is very important

Good business acumen and a strong awareness of how a large corporate functional organisation operates is essential

Purchasing experience is helpful, not essential with a good a business management understanding

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating clearly with internal users and to express the needs and requirements with external suppliers.

Negotiating influencing and effective communication skills required.
