With a dedicated staff and volunteers, our commitment to assist those in need comes to life each day in our mission "to provide an immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency". The Senior Director of Business Operations is a dynamic and energetic leader who is instrumental in providing operational oversight and contributes to the development of a phenomenal agency culture and community. With a thorough commitment to the agency mission, this position directly oversees the following areas: Finance; Information Technology; Facilities Maintenance; Human Resources; Office Administration; Volunteer Programs; In-Kind Donations and Product. As a strong leader with strategic clarity, this position is also responsible for agency property management and risk management functions. The Senior Director of Business Operations is a vision partner to the executive director, and will act in the executive director's absence. Full-time; exempt Areas of Responsibility * Provide leadership oversight and strategic guidance to the following departments, ensuring appropriate systems processes, policies, reporting and controls are in place: + Finance + Information Technology & Facilities Maintenance + Human Resources & Office Administration + Volunteer Programs, In-Kind Donations & Product * As a strategic vision partner with the Executive Director, provide significant input to the overall direction of the organization and to the development of agency strategic goals and objectives * Actively contribute to the development of a phenomenal agency culture and community * Working with the Director of Finance and Director of Development, ensure effective agency financial planning, budgeting and reporting * Maintain awareness of the company's financial position and cash flows, provide summary analysis and proactively anticipate and communicate any issues to Executive Director * Participate as a strategic member of the board Finance Committee * Responsible for all aspects of agency property management including oversight of all facilities, ensuring properties are maintained and either preserve or increase in value * Manage building/tenant leases for any leased facility, tenant relationships, revenue/expense oversight, real estate broker relationship, and city and county requirements * Responsible for all aspects of the agency commercial property and general liability insurance policies, including claim reporting and renewal process * Lead the agency Safety & Risk Management committee and participate on the board Risk Management Committee to identify and evaluate risk to the agency including staff, volunteers, donors, participants, property and assets, finances, goodwill and image * Manage agency incident reporting process and provide summary reports for the Safety & Risk Management Committee * Ensure effective emergency procedures are in place for each building * Oversee janitorial service, order supplies and manage vendor relationships * Review agency contracts and agreements; authorized to sign agreements within financial policy guidelines * Develop and implement short and long-term business operations goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes in line with the strategic plan * Respond or assist as needed in emergency situations at any agency facility or event * Represent the agency in the community and help to establish strong strategic partnerships in order to further grow our community presence and impact * Attend agency events, including seasonal programs Requirements/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * Ten years significant work experience with growing organizations in a mid-level or senior position with strong business operations, department and staff management experience * Strong financial acumen and analytical ability * Able to asses and explain complex financial matters in a simple way with meaningful insight * Impeccable judgment and problem resolution expertise * Detail oriented with exceptionally strong organization and planning aptitude * Exceptional interpersonal communication, presentation, mentorship and leadership skills * Professionalism, maturity, and an understanding of how to handle sensitive and confidential information * Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google and databases * Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work * Respectful;
