Job Title: Property / House Manager, Live-Out

Job Description:

A high-profile individual in the Upper East Side, NY seeks an experienced live-out Property / House Manager to oversee the care of their formal home, and to provide service and support to a busy family residence. The successful candidate must have experience working in a formal home managing high-quality furnishings and museum-quality art collections. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of all facilities within the properties
  • Supervising the day to day facilities operations, any renovations and on-site projects
  • Property repairing, HVAC systems, and groundskeeping duties
  • General Handyman duties, basic electrical and plumbing work as needed
  • Maintaining the landscape of the property
  • Coordinating & managing the outside vendors and contractors
  • Preparing the property for any guests
  • Serving as hands-on backup for residence staff
  • Managing and coordinating with staff - planning and executing special dinners and events; experience with formal table service and high-end event planning a plus
  • Managing a collection of fine art and antiques; handling storage, shipment, selling, and procurement
  • Executing special requests, errands, and any other related duties as needed

This is a full-time Live-out position Monday - Friday.

Salary is generous but DOE.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience working with high net-worth / high-profile individuals as House Manager
  • Related background in understanding mechanical and engineering projects related to the household
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Adept in managing and supervising household staff
  • Prioritize executive tasks and multi-task effectively
  • Must have experience/training formal service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be comfortable working around children and pets
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Mac OSX and related programs
  • Professional mindset and the utmost discretion
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexibility with hours and scheduling
  • United States work authorization
