Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm

I'm currently looking for a Process Improvement Engineer to join a passionate and growing business based in March. The company has been running for over a quarter of a century and have shown repeatedly why they re the company of choice for the biggest Food Manufacturers in the UK. The business is fast paced and requires an incredibly high attention to detail, great communication skills and an ability to never settle for second best.

As the process improvement engineer you'll be working alongside the engineering team, predominantly focused on analysing and identifying key areas within the production process that have room for improvement. 75% of this position will be office focused looking at developing and implementing new projects within the business with the remaining percentile being focused on carrying out the projects and being "hands on".

Your working week will run Monday through to Friday, from 8 until 5. However, the company is forward thinking and appreciates that some days this will change. You need to start late? Not a problem. You need to finish early? Not an issue. All they ask in return? A constant high level of communication and openess in your work. Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

Work with Engineering and site Maintenance, looking at existing processes and identifying areas of improvement surrounding quality, cost, performance and PPMS
Develop and integrate SOPs and a consistent working standard for all engineers to follow
Pro-actively carry out Root Cause Analysis and Problem solving, both individually and with the other departments
Have an integral role in all projects, both CAPEX and Machinery focused, liaising with the Sales team and Customers and Suppliers alike

Experience in a similar role within the Food Manufacturing industry is vital in order to be considered for this position. Your other key skills and experiences need to include are:

An Extensive and proven background of Fault Finding and RCA within the Food/Beverage industry
Comprehensive understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, with a great knowledge of IEE wiring regulations
Proven examples of past successful projects within the Food/Beverage industry
Relevant and valid Engineering qualifications, ideally a HND or equivalent
