Out automotive client is currently looking for a Paralegal to be based from their Central London office on a 12 month contract basis.
Candidates must have between 2-7 years experience and particulay interested in someone who has knowledge/experience in Commercial Law, handling contracts and understanding of processes.
The Paralegal will support the Legal Counsel, the Head of Legal and the Business generally for all legal administration.
The Paralegal will support the Procurement/Supply Chain and Industrialisation teams, as well as the Commercial
What you will be doing:
Support the Legal Counsel and Head of Legal to create and keep updated standard contract templates and processes.
Administer and maintain a contract management system and ensure weekly document control and electronic signing processes are completed.
Support in drafting template documents and assist in writing legal and compliance training materials.
Escalate contract queries to the Legal Counsel and Head of Legal as required.
Occasionally document and complete contract summaries, capturing key details and risk areas for the business.
Conduct legal research.
Remain knowledgeable of key processes, business initiatives and internal resources to maintain a high standard within contracts administration
Provide support to other teams on an ad hoc basis, especially to the Procurement & Supply Chain Management teams as well as the Commercial teams.
Ability to be flexible and operate outside comfort zones to complete miscellaneous requests/tasks.
Work independently and under minimal supervision
What you will bring:
Candidates must have between 2-7 years experience in Paralegal
Strong attention to detail and ability to negotiate within defined parameters
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work proactively within a team environment yet happy to work independently.
Ability to evaluate and balance individual workload through effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of business policies and establish best practice.
Strong written and oral skills to effectively communicate messages.
Willingness and ability to undertake further training and development related to the role.
Knowledge of dealing with related contract terms and conditions desirable.
Able to draft basic contract clause changes desirable.
LPC Qualification desirable.
Previous experience with in-house legal teams desirable.
Ability/willingness to work as a generalist (i.e. outside any previous specialism) - flexibility/adaptability is essential given how fast the business is developing.
