This is more of an Operational Analyst/support position. The individual will be supporting the Application Services Manager who is running the effort and supporting the management of application in the services management deal
Needs someone with an operational support background, understand what service level agreements are, return to service, what end users expect for timelines, etc.
Middleman support between end users and suppliers.
Supporting one of the client General Managers who is executive sponsor of the efforts
Needs application management space experience- No data center, firewalls, network candidates will be accepted.
There is managed services platform in support of IT platform model. Position will be helping run this model, expertise for the position is important. Cannot be foreign territory
Support the overall execution of Mgd. Services strategy
Manage overall transition, manage issues, escalations and provide decision support
Oversee and set strategic direction on key supplier relationships and participate in maintenance of supplier relationships
Work closely with Procurement to ensure that all elements of contracts are met
Work with Platform teams to facilitate changes in application portfolio (application list and service levels) advise on monitoring SLAs
Advise on monitoring and reporting service level agreements to Platforms
Provide subject matter expertise in IT, transitions, and transformations
Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:
Experience in Contract Mgmt, SLA & Performance Mgmt, Supplier Risk Mgmt,, Large Scale Transition & Transformation Mgmt
Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or equivalent business management field required. 10+ years experience required.
5-10+ years of progressive mgmt. experience including IT /Operations strategic sourcing
Previous experience in technology-oriented and services industry
Previous Chevron or oil/gas experience would be a plus
Although the manager sits in Houston, TX, the selected candidate is preferred to sit in Houston but is not required. The selected candidate will need to sit in the US and be able to support Central Time Zone.
