As part of that growth, they're looking to appoint to roles that offer excellent prospect of advancement to the right people, including a Mechanical Production Engineer or Project Engineer.

Reporting to an experienced Divisional Lead your responsibilities as Mechanical Production Engineer or Project Engineer will include:

  • Planning the most efficient method of manufacture
  • Creating engineering routings and plans to issue to production
  • Providing engineering drawings to aid manufacture using 2D and 3D CAD packages
  • Assisting with the implementation of appropriate manufacturing jigs
  • Launching parts into production
  • Communicating with clients, providing technical support where required
  • Tracking project costs in line with estimates
  • Supporting production with the manufacturing process
  • Meeting pre-production engineering requirements and deadlines


As Mechanical Production Engineer or Project Engineer you will need:

  • Solid experience as a Mechanical Production Engineer or Project Engineer gained and a Fabrication/Welding environment - preferably including machining, laser cutting, CNC forming and/or painting - with an engineering sub-contractor
  • Drive, good communication skills, integrity, a cooperative approach and a positive attitude under pressure
  • A good understanding of engineering materials
  • Experience of 2D CAD and Inventor 3D advantageous
  • IT proficiency, including confidence in the use of an ERP system

On offer:
