Would you like to play an integral role in the delivery and execution of marine systems engineering? We currently have a vacancy for a Marine /Naval Controls Engineer at our site in Scotstoun.

As a Marine /Naval Controls Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery and execution of marine systems engineering and will support development of the design and production output data for the project including responsibility for the Stage 1 (early phase) engineering team.

This role will require you to have a flexible attitude to working patterns as you'll be communicating and working closely with geographically dispersed teams. This role may also require a small amount of travel across the UK.

Your main responsibilities as a Marine /Naval Controls Engineer will involve:

Develop, document & analyse the design solution

Develop and implement solutions to identify customer requirements relevant to CSC

Contribution to governance covering LCM, Product Safety, Product Environment, Quality and Legal & Regulatory compliance

Develop guidance and instructions for detail designers

Support supplier engagement for procurement of systems, equipment and material associated with assigned engineering discipline

Your skills and qualifications as a Marine /Naval Controls Engineer:

Electrical degree

Early systems /Stage 1 systems design experience

Experience working on large scale, complex projects

Marine or oil & Gas experience is required


Electrical engineering safety qualification / experience is desirable

Project Management knowledge including risk management and EVM experience is desirable

You'll need good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with a focus on being able to build good customer relations and have strong influencing skills with external and internal stakeholders.
