Job description

Our client, an international operating company, is currently seeking a Maintenance Support Engineer to work onshore in their expanding operations control room.

This is a residential position on a contract basis.

The role will provide 'first line' support to offshore teams, through Root Cause Analysis and Condition Monitoring methods and techniques, escalating issues to 'second line' discipline experts where necessary.

Duties include:

• Supports offshore assets, through monitoring and collaboration between onshore and offshore and provides immediate first line support for offshore to inquiries, uncertainties, guidance and other needs.
• Asset optimization during stable operation as well as minimizing negative impact during disruptive situations.
• Monitoring of process systems and equipment to foresee and avoid unplanned events aided by the implementation of new digital tools.
• Liaise with the onshore Tier 2 organization to ensure offshore raised issues are prioritized and handled.
• Applying Condition Monitoring to the Site's critical equipment, and alerting the relevant stakeholders, offshore and onshore, when deviations are detected.
• Ensuring smooth flow of information between offshore and Discipline specialists in case of urgent issues and significant breakdowns

Experience required:

• Engineering degree within a technical discipline, e.g. Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation.
• Extensive work experience within Maintenance, having previously worked as Discipline engineer, Maintenance Supervisor on Site, etc.
• Proficient with Root Cause Analysis and Condition Monitoring methods and techniques.
• Proficient in oral and written English.
• Systematic and structured approach to problem solving without compromising safety, integrity & reliability.
• Team player with good communication and networking skills.
