Job Description A logistics operations officer job includes running a distribution center. He/she ensures that incoming materials from suppliers are in good order and are properly stored, and that outgoing parts and the materials for customers leave in the correct amounts and are in good condition. Throughout the day, the logistics operations officer may negotiate with transportation companies about rates or service levels; he/she may prepare documents; or he/she may review invoices and customs documents. A logistics operations officer may need to look into and resolve issues with suppliers, customers, transportation companies or employees. He/she also may review distribution center workloads with other departments, coordinating with the schedulers and planners. Key Result Areas: • Manages Day-Day operation • Building relationship with transporters & brokers • Organizing delivery schedules & routes • Warehouse managements Job Requirements • Proven working experience as a logistics operations officer. • Record of successful distribution and logistics management • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff • Proficient in standard logistics software • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects • BS desgree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Skills Required • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) • Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CI Benefits Medical Insurance Flight Tickets
