DESCRIPTION
Dixons Carphone are undergoing an exciting period of transformation across IT.To play a key role in driving this, wearelooking for aProgramme Manager to beaccountable for the delivery of a number of strategically significant Customerprojects.

Responsibilities

•Planning and designing the portfolio and proactively monitoring its progress, reassessment of priorities, resolving resource conflicts, and agreeing additions, deletions or modifications to scope.
•Ensuring the projects implement capabilities which meet the strategic needs and measurably improve levels of performance.
•Pro-actively managing communications with all stakeholders.
•Managing the portfolio's budget to ensure business benefits are achieved in a cost efficient manner.
•Providing strong leadership to the project teams (in-house and 3 rd party) and actively representing the project teams, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained.
•Developing and implementing an effective programme governance structure across their portfolio.
•Managing the performance of the projects team, internal and external suppliers. Participates in line management reviews for in-house project teams and service management for 3 rd parties.
•Fully involved with mobilisation of the programme to ensure success from the start e.g. recruitment of roles in to the programme ensures relevant skills and experience
•Managing IT schedule and resource dependencies to mitigate potential conflict between programmes to keep timelines on track.
Required Skills / Experience

•Expert knowledge of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles etc.
•Expert knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and governing multiple programmes simultaneously, including risk management.
•Expert knowledge of budgeting.
•Good knowledge of resource tools and techniques.
•Good knowledge of influencing techniques
•Good knowledge of data structures, flows and modelling.
•5 years+ extensive experience of delivering complex programmes and projects in a Retail and/or Contact Centre environment.
•Extensive experience of managing 3 rd parties (both on-shore and off-shore).
•Able to travel (up to two days a week to remote site as required)
•Bachelor's Degree level educated
•Programme Management Qualification (MSP or similar)
•Project Management Qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or similar)
