Head Teacher wanted small Independent Special School on Essex/ Suffolk
THE RYES COLLEGE & COMMUNITY
salary: 50000.00 British Pound . GBP Annual
Assington, Suffolk, United Kingdom
Job type: fulltime
Job industry: Education
The Ryes College is an independent provider of specialist education and care for children and young people with special educational needs. Ofsted graded our Sudbury based school, which educates up to 36 children aged between 11 & 18, as 'good' in December 2017 and we are committed to continual improvement. We are seeking to employ someone who has the ability to motivate & inspire and so continue to grow and develop our School.
Whilst a Head Teacher qualification is desirable, it is not essential; you may be an experienced Deputy in a SEN setting and are aspiring to Headship. QTS & evidence of senior management experience in a special school are essential. Strong leadership & management skills are essential, as is an ability to produce, understand, manage and apply data to illustrate outcomes. You will have extensive experience of, and be dedicated to, working with young people with complex special educational needs including: Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties; Autistic Spectrum Conditions; and Complex Needs. You will also have the ability to think outside the box, deliver results and strategically impact on the future development of the students, staff and school. Leading by example, you will display in-depth knowledge of current legislation and be responsible for the day to day running and development of the school. You will have resilience, motivation and emotional intelligence, alongside business acumen and a firm belief that every child really does matter.
We can offer in return a great training and support package, a dedicated staff team, fantastic pupils and an opportunity to really make your mark and make a difference.
Closing date: 12 December 2019
