What you will be doing…
Our Environmental Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents, and members of the public, whist enforcing Environmental orders and issuing fines.
Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, walking up to 10 miles per day, so please consider this before you apply. Your role will be to routinely foot patrol streets and public places to enforce environmental legislation and issue fixed penalty notices to offenders who commit criminal offences by the means of littering and dog offences. Area of enforcement will be within the boundaries of Salford City including all district wards, organised events and match days for both rugby and football matches.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Shifts vary and hours worked will be between 6am & 8pm so flexibility for the role is essential.
What you will need…
You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers. PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a hand held device daily.
