Job Summary: Serves as the primary in house graphic designer for Southern Miss Athletics, assists with fostering and managing the athletics brand, oversees the athletic department's website, southermiss.com, provides photographic services for the athletic department, and assists with digital marketing, digital media, and social media interviews.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Oversees the athletics department website, southernmiss.com, including managing the overall look, layout, feel, and navigation.
2.Develops new ways to promote the 16 athletic teams and the department's mission statement while taking advantage of emerging technology.
3.Assists with overarching sports marketing, communication, public relation campaigns, and sales campaigns.
4.Assists with the creation and marketing, communication, and creative content to engage with fans.
5.Primary graphic designer for marketing and communication department. Creates all schedule cards, schedule posters, ticket order forms, fan guides, flyers, social media graphics, infographics, advertising graphics, sales pieces, website design/layout, etc.
6.Provides photographic services for the athletic department.
7.Assists with fostering and managing the overall athletics brand and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one-year related experience; training in graphic design, photography, digital marketing, social media, sports marketing, and website design.
