ROLE PURPOSE To manage, coordinate and support a selective number of site contracts activities (including projects construction, maintenance support and FM) in order to deliver HSE, cost and quality KPI's. To assist, when required, in managing delivery of maintenance and installation activities for a selective number of projects relating to site non-manufacturing areas (NMA), site production areas with a particular emphasis on civil works and non-manufacturing area assets to meet HSE, availability and costs targets. To co-ordinate and manage Syngenta contractor labour, onsite term contactors and one off specialised contractors to deliver the above. To deliver full compliance of nominated contractor activities and NMA assets versus site, company and regulatory requirements, e.g. SI's, HSE policy and standards, CDM, COSHH, Asbestos ACCOUNTABILITIES - Contracts and Projects - For nominated contracts (maintenance, projects construction, FM) manage and co-ordinate delivery of those services to - Meet HSE targets (e.g. safety performance, compliance with hygiene, policy, CDM, COSHH, asbestos)o Maximise efficiency and productivity of contractors - Meet cost and programme targets - Liaise with Syngenta and contractor's planners to ensure all work is planned and forward resource profiles are agreed - Produce regular nominated construction reports (e.g. planning mops, TQ's, VI's, planning meeting minutes) - Operate as the co-ordinating interface between contractors, Syngenta plant engineering teams and production plants to maximise efficiency and effectiveness (e.g. PCN system, break-ins, inductions, validations, help in obtaining permits, recording permit delays). - Provide cover for other supervisors during periods of absence or Holidays, actively participate in co-ordinating your time with others in the team to ensure business needs are covered. - At periods of high activity or cover you will be expected to work more than the 5 days per week, including extended days. You will be required to actively manage this - You will be required to be involved in site wide duties Contractor Control - When required, directly supervise contractor labour - Manage safety clearance systems with providing adequate notice to the operations groups of permit requirements. Obtain and maintain a validation for permit acceptor/issuer on site. - Provide specialist functional civil works support to other engineering teams on site.
