A bespoke Supply chain and global logistics provider are now seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager at their Branch in LHR.
My client are a highly reputable freight forwarder, who's customs have experienced excellent service and expertise for over 25 years.

Business Development Manager Role:
To develop business, with both existing and "new" customers, in line with the agreed business strategy and Key Account Plan. To promote the company image and support the key account management team in winning and maintaining an existing portfolio of profitable business.
Air Freight Sales Experience with a proven track record and portfolio of customers and clients ideally within the retail sector.
Prospective candidates must have good tenure with previous employers
Freight forwarding operational experience is also highly desirable
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
Development of new and existing business
Development and maintenance of Key Account Plans for specific target customers, as directed by the Commercial Director
Retention of existing business by demonstrating the width and breadth to existing customers
Customer negotiations to achieve competitive cost structures
Handling quotation requests
Preparation of RFQ/ RFI/ Tenders & Proposals
Preparation of presentations to support an RFQ/RFI/ Tender response
Preparation of presentations to support, and guide, customer meetings
Maintenance of Global CRM database
Participation in structured telephone and mail marketing campaigns
Customer systems access training
Maintain and develop customer relationships
Maintain & increase volumes and revenue.
Management of own diary
