We are currently recruiting a BMS Controls Engineer on behalf of an established systems house in the Berkshire area.
Our client specialises in providing BMS solutions to clients throughout the home counties.
The role of a BMS Controls Engineer:
You will be tasked with managing small works, upgrades/install projects through to completion on existing service sites, in addition there will be the opportunity to be involved in the design element of the works undertaken.
You will interact with clients to ensure their requirements are understood, advise on any faults or replacement parts required and manage the small works projects through to completion. Also be required to liaise with clients to ensure correct implementation of the design is achieved.
The BMS Controls Engineer will have the desire to problem solve, be adaptable and offer excellent customer service and ensure a successful technical outcome of all site visits.
In addition carry out and document all tasks associated with the maintenance of a (BMS) Building Management System including planned, reactive and corrective tasks.
Be solely responsible in ensuring all works reports, quotes and timesheets are completed and issued in line with procedures
The successful individual will be adaptable and a good all rounder enjoying a variety of tasks from compiling point schedules, design, attending maintenance call outs to managing and commissioning BMS projects
Qualifications and requirements of the BMS Controls Engineer:
• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining building management systems
• A good understanding of a variety of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Strong experience in Trend and possess the relevant qualification/ certification
• Fluent with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent with 1 or more building management systems enabling successful fault finding with that system(s).
• Minimum 2 years of experience of integration products and protocol exchange software such as Modbus, BACnet etc.
Candidates should hold a recognised electrical qualification and ideally possess the relevant experience and be competent to commission BMS controls preferably on either Trend or Tridium controls
