Job description

This industry leader in Pressure Casting Systems manufacturing located in King's Lynn is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team. This world-renowned company leads the field and is continually expanding its product range using cutting edge technology. This role offers excellent future progressions within the company.

For this privately-owned British company, one of your primary roles would be to use your PLC and HMI skills to design and programme the software for new machines. Within this position, you would also commission, test and optimise the systems before dispatch.

As an Automation Engineer, you would remotely support your colleagues working offsite (worldwide) and customers requiring technical assistance. There could be occasional overseas travel to help with offsite installations / technical support.

As an Automation Engineer your duties would include;

Designing and programming HMI and PLC software.
Commissioning, optimisation and testing of systems.
Working with pneumatic, robotic and hydraulics.
Remote support for Field Operatives and customers.
The Ideal Automation Engineer would have experience of;

PLC programming skills with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
Controlled robotics, networking and motion control systems.
Problem-solving and attention to detail.
Offering excellent support to colleagues and customers.
Automation Engineer

Salary - Between £40,000 and £45,000 dependant on skills, experience and qualifications.

Working day - 8 am until 4 pm based in King's Lynn (some additional hours as required)

Other Requirements - UK Driving Licence and valid passport with no restrictions.
