Job description

This position will be based in Huntington Beach and will report to a Buyer.


The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for supporting their Buyer to achieve sales and margin objectives for seasonal buy plans.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Seasonal Order entry and buy plan maintenance
  • Manage system SKU information and uploads
  • Sample coordination and management
  • Setup and maintain spreadsheets for seasonal buys
  • Weekly Reporting
  • Manage transfer and markdown files
  • Compile Monthly Best Seller presentations with Buyer
  • Additional tasks as needed


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detailed and organized oriented
  • Manage completing priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency
  • Industry knowledge
  • Solid MS office and computer skills- knowing how to create formulas in Excel a plus
  • Ability to learn internal business systems
  • Strong verbal and communication skills


  • 1+ year experience as an Assistant Buyer or Merchandise Coordinator
  • Education: Associates Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
