Job description

TGC Search is partnered with one of our top clients in Racine, WI looking to add their next Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer to the team in a direct hire/full-time position.

Your role as a key player in the organization will involve refining and enhancing our industrial processes utilizing cutting-edge lean manufacturing methodologies. As the driving force behind change, you'll be instrumental in conceptualizing innovative solutions and implementing them effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance cost-effectiveness through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma methodology, Kaizen, and other process enhancement strategies.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing workflows to pinpoint areas for improvement, devising and executing solutions to optimize our manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards, providing insightful reports and proposing actionable solutions as needed.
  • Develop comprehensive process documentation and operating instructions, leveraging simulations, risk assessments, and testing to streamline operations and overcome obstacles.
  • Collaborate on estimating production costs and contribute to equipment layout design and planning.
  • Tackle manufacturing process challenges head-on through adept troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of proven success in a metal fabrication environment, demonstrating familiarity with its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Preferably certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, showcasing a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in conducting process simulations and crafting standard operating procedures.
  • Mastery of CAD and AutoCAD software, enabling efficient design and visualization of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities, essential for effectively addressing complex challenges.
