Works Engineer position.
The position calls for an innovative individual looking for that next stage of their career and the challenge of instigating the preventative side of the Engineers role and then delegating duties between a very small team. The candidate will be prepared to lead on a "hands on" basis and also be capable of completing tasks and various reports for the work completed.
At times the candidate may be part of a team lead by a specialist engineer to carry out certain projects but this would only be in the case of projects outside of the candidates capabilities (movement of a major production line) etc......
A bias towards the electrical, software, hydraulic and pneumatic side is our preference.
A decent welding and mechanical capability is preferable.
Electrically - minimum 17th edition and an understanding of control panels and software would be ideal.
Their shift would be normal days but on the understanding that any breakdowns are dealt with on the day and even, if they do extend into an evening as the production generated by these machines are the life blood of the company.
Monday to Weds 07.00am to 15.45pm hours with 30 mins break for lunch unpaid and 15 mins for a morning break paid. (24.75 hours). The fitters breaks would obviously differ from normal production operatives to carry out minor checks/repair etc....
Thursday 07.00am to 11.45am with zero breaks. (4.75 hours).
Friday same as Mon - Weds. (8.25 hours).
Saturday 06.00am to 12.00pm (6 hours).
43.75 hour week and every week the same.
?12.50 to ?13.00 per hour for all contracted and additional hours worked, including weekends and staying behind.
A flexible attitude to the demands of the business are included in our hourly rate.
A changeable afternoon off instead of Thursday when required can be accommodated with two weeks minimum notice.
Holidays are 20 days per full calendar year worked in the first 12 months and then increase to 22 days after 12 months employment + 8 stat days.
Holidays to be booked in conjunction with the Facilities managers permission and in line with company guidelines/rulings.
Own tools for this role to be provided in the main by the candidate.
