The Innovation team a newly established group at J.P. Morgan Chase and Co. in the Wholesale Payments division, focusing on blockchain and payment platform solutions. We are a global team of product designers, business developers, technologists and innovators, joined together by a passion for transforming the way payments are done. We are tasked with providing our clients and partners with new age finance, network and payments services. Opportunity overview The Head of Marketing will be responsible for building an overall go-to-market strategy including developing and launching multiple new brands and supporting client, partner and revenue growth objectives. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Global Head of Business Development for the new business segment. What will you do? Create and launch product brands, positioning, market segmentation plans and value propositions for the group. Partner with Product, Business Development and J.P. Morgan marketing/brand teams to create and execute marketing plans and achieve specific client and revenue growth goals. Develop research to segment the market, establish partner and client insights, develop community communication tools, engage influencers and define a go-to-market plans. Build and manage a world-class team of execution managers in key global locations. Lead market and competitive analysis to support the targeted efforts of Product and Business Development teams. Serve as the leader to build and execute internal and external communication plans including press, public relations, brand building and social media. Build digital communication channels for clients, partners, developers, users and other internal and external community members. Partner with Product and Business Development teams to plan, manage and execute marketing events including internal and external conferences and client/advisory groups. Develop sales enablement tools, messaging, thought leadership and client/partner content to support business objectives. Synthesize market developments to ensure internal teams are working on the right priorities to capitalize on market opportunities. Collaborate closely with product, design and tech teams to translate market opportunities to value-based pricing models. Contribute to the overall strategy, business focus and resource allocation decision making. Own the long term success, including financial metrics and shareholder value of the new products and brands. Professional experiences that will set you apart 10+ years of marketing and/or strategy leadership experience within the financial services industry. Platform/network business experience a strong plus. 5+ years' experience developing and launching marketing, PR, social media, sales collateral and communication plans for new product or business lines. History of building and managing high performance marketing teams. Management of UI/UX teams for B2B and/or marketplace products. Prior leadership with crafting strategic positioning plans, brand pillars, brand beliefs and brand promises as well as the manifestation with brand symbols, wordmarks, etc. Strong analytical and communication skills to build compelling business cases in order to win internal support for marketing initiatives Ability to deliver clear, compelling and articulate written and verbal communications. Experience with brand architecture decisions in the context of both large organizations and new products/businesses. Knowledge of emerging financial services technologies. Specifically, blockchain and APIs as well as exposure to design-based thinking practices. Exposure to international markets from a payments, markets, FX, supply chain and/or treasury standpoint. Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization. BA or BS required.
