Job Description Job Summary: to provide and process information in response to product quality inquiries, product quality concerns for Battery Cells, Battery Packs, Automotive Electronics, and managing product quality performance. Job Tasks / Responsibilities • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customer plant warranty personnel. • Respond to both formal and informal customer complaints/concerns. • Obtain, evaluate, and manage reporting of all relevant information to handle quality inquiries and complaints via Action Tracker, Open Issues Lists, Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and/or Problem Reports (PRs). • Coordinate root cause analysis and verify corrective action(s) effectiveness (provide process and customer support to internal team and plants design and production organizations). • Communicate with corporate and plants on a regular basis to promote rapid response on customer complaints/concerns. • maintain customer quality reports for product complaints/concerns quality metrics (i.e. PPM, C or R/1000, incident pareto, etc.) and quality incidents; and communicate information to internal team and plant teams. • Conducts initial fault analysis of field (warranty and 0km) failures. • Document and track status of all customer concerns via 8D process and/or customer specific report format. • Report quality investigation results in a clear, concise and timely manner to the appropriate staff and customer contact(s). Job Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. • Experience with specific customer production quality processes and systems. • Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional team. • Working knowledge of 8D or other problem solving methodology. • Able to interpret engineering specifications, requirements and drawings. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning, and the ability to monitor and shuffle activities according to priorities.
