Job description

The Client Solutions Team is responsible for providing portfolio solutions insights to multiple distribution channels, intermediary partners, and financial advisors, including competitive analytics on individual products and portfolio construction and asset allocation analysis. The primary objective of the team is to help advisors better understand the opportunities and implications of various portfolio construction decisions. * The Solutions Analyst will work with the Nuveen Solutions Investment and Analytic teams to ensure proper application and consistency of investment views coming from the teams and use that information to deliver industry leading analytic and portfolio construction insight and report capabilities to Nuveen's distribution teams. The analyst will work with the head of the group as well as members of the investment and analytic teams to constantly educate themselves on capital market dynamics and portfolio analysis and construction techniques. The role requires an understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction and manager selection., * Working with advanced analytic tools to provide asset allocation, portfolio construction and product positioning insights to support Nuveen Advisor Consultants (ACs)/Internal Advisor Consultants (IACs). * Drive sales awareness of Nuveen Solutions capabilities and provide thorough, detailed, and timely responses to inquiries about specific multi-asset portfolios and broader solutions opportunities related to specific client outcomes * Effectively summarize and disseminate Investment Team views including capital market summaries, strategic and tactical allocation decisions and model portfolio positioning. * Work closely with key internal partners Product, Marketing, affiliate Portfolio Specialists and/or Client Portfolio Managers as it relates to the design and delivery of portfolio and product positioning insights * Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CIMA or MBA (or progress toward) highly preferred * Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the investment management industry with a focus on portfolio analysis and manager research a plus * Solid knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, ETFs and closed end funds. * Experience working with wholesalers and financial advisors. * FINRA Series 7 or ability to obtain in six months, * Understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction methods and how they are used to fulfil investor goals * Familiarity with investment data tools including Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg and or familiarity with portfolio analytic tools such as Cognity Adaptive Analytics, Barra or Zephyr is a plus * Strong client service and sales orientation * Highly Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint * Persuasive oral, written, and presentation communications skills - and ability to simply and effectively describe complex ideas to different audiences * Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with internal partners including distribution, product management, technology, marketing and legal and compliance * Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and timelines * A genuine team player that believes in the power of collaborative work and builds relationships with co-workers in a collegial and respectful manner
