Job description

MCS is hiring for a Senior Payroll Manager with a deep knowledge of government contracts in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Senior Payroll Manager must demonstrate their flexibility while working on multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior Payroll Manager will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. Typical duties include:
• Ensuring timely and accurate processing, recording, and reporting of the company's certified payroll in various states including California, Washington, and Illinois.
• Overseeing the processing of weekly DBA/SCA payroll.
• Managing the processing payroll for all companies under the MCS umbrella.
• Performing payroll audits of weekly fringe/travel payments.
• Coordinating and tracking all prevailing wage projects.
• Monitoring and updating employee fringe data in MCS Payroll tools (annually, new hires, new assignments, etc ).
• Creating or modifying manual calculation spreadsheets as needed.
• Working with specially designed software to complete certified payroll and other prevailing wage required documents.
• Running payroll-related reports to support the needs of departments and customers.
• Preparing and Filing Tax documentation.
• Managing benefits administration and enrollment. Required:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Certification Requirements: CPA (Desired) Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years experience processing payroll across multiple states/entities.
• 3+ years of experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll.
• 2+ years of experience processing payroll for 700+ employees.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
