Tool Specialist
Overview
An excellent opportunity has become available to join Elliott Group as a
Tool Specialist in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the tool container and all items associated to it.
The purpose of this role is to manage receipt as well as dispatch of the
tool container, manage inventory, restocking/repair, certification check of all equipment and all transport & logistics including import/export to and from all countries in the EMA area where the Tool Containers are needed.
Responsibilities
As a Tool Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Handling all aspects related to the Tool Container preparation for The planned Field Service projects (including a prepared state of Readiness for emergency/unplanned jobs)
* Following work description and procedures
* Receiving the Tool Container, Rigging Trees, Listas, Measuring Boxes and other related items
* Incoming inventory and condition report
* Ordering of missing items according to standard inventory
* Preparing additional items according to PM request for specific job/project
* Managing repair of damaged or non-conform items
* Managing replenishment of consumables according to standard inventory and specific job/project requirements
* Checking, scheduling and monitoring of all required Test- and Certification procedures and upload Certificates to existing database
* Completing outgoing inventory of every item
* Preparing transport and custom documents
* Handling Tool Container logistics including temporary import/export in line with customer and Field Service Project Manager requirements
* Additional responsibilities as required by the business
Qualifications
As a Tool Specialist, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent and at least 5 years' experience working in a practical/technical environment
* Very good command of the English language both spoken and written
* Good knowledge of the Tooling and Rigging devices for a Field Service environment
* Technical and Tool manufacturing background would be an advantage
* Knowledge of international recognized standards required for calibration and periodical check of instruments, equipment and tools used in field operation and Tool Containers
* Knowledge about specific site requirements related to stock materials and temporary installation of Tool Containers (i.e. chemicals, flammables, electric power, utilities etc.)
* Knowledge of custom requirements for materials shipment into foreign countries and customer sites
* Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements for shipped materials in different Countries and Customer sites and to enter in sites (i.e. safety passport)
* Commercially minded and skilled
* Good organizational ability and self-motivation
* Self-starter needs to be able to work autonomously with minimal instruction
* Flexible with ability to cope with a wide variety of tasks
* Ability to guide contractors or colleagues assigned to maintain the Tool Containers when required
* Must have an aptitude to interact and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external contacts
* Knowledge of Excel and Word in order to produce status reports and custom documents is mandatory
* Oracle and Primavera experience desirable
