Job description

We are recruiting a Technical Services Manager for a leading managing agent to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties and a popular restaurant quarter in the Centre of Manchester. The successful individual will manage relationships with multiple clients and key stakeholders; ensure engineering and technical excellence; and continuously maintain the highest standards of service across each site!

The Role?

Complete engineering site surveys & audit reports.
Manage internal and external relationships with the managing agent, clients, local authorities, service providers and statutory bodies.
Establish 'economically advantageous' strategies for delivering the technical management service.
Complete life cycle / Planned Preventative Maintenance reports to the agreed format.
Provide technical support & advice to the Asset Services team Nationally.
Review CIBSE, industry guidelines and utilities regulations providing guidance and support to the Asset Services team and Clients; when any change impacts the managed portfolio.
Provide team update/training in relation to Building Services
Manage service providers and monitor performance against contracted SLAs and KPIs.
Produce, manage and report on budgets, accurately, within agreed forecast and in a timely manner.

Excellent Time Management Skills.
Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Experience of new build development through to management (construction site experience is advantageous).
Good working knowledge/understanding of building operating systems (mechanical, electrical, controls and fire/health and safety).
Good Written Communication Skills & attention to detail.
Cost control, variance and forecasting reporting.
Basic IT skills inc. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to an intermediate level.
Good presentation skills
Proven people management skills and team building.
Management of Performance based contracts.
Defects / warranty management.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of compliance within engineering systems and property
