A well-known 11-18 all girls school, based in Ipswich are looking to appoint a Teacher of Latin and Classics. Based on beautiful grounds and excellent facilities this will be a great opportunity for a dedicated teacher. A talented graduate classicist is required to teach Classics (including Latin, Greek, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation) throughout the Senior School in this academically selective, single sex day school during a colleague's leave of absence.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced classroom practitioner who enjoys the company of bright, ambitious and well-motivated pupils or someone wishing to gain experience of teaching in an academically selective secondary school. Recent experience of teaching examination classes or of examining at this level would be a recommendation. There are opportunities to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school, both aspects of which are valued at this school.

An up to date knowledge of the UK curriculum is essential.

The successful applicant is expected to:

Must hold UK QTS or have experience teaching Latin and Classics.
Effectively teach Latin and Classics KS4 - KS5 curriculum to the highest standards.
Assess and mark pupils work, monitoring progression levels.
Deliver fun and engaging lessons that also challenge and develop learning.
Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff members.
Be committed to the schools objectives and teach in line with their ethos.Benefits:
