Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Systems V&VEngineer to help drive our Commercial platforms Testing. The role willbe mainly focused on the Integration, Verification and Validationactivities of our Radar and ECDIS Product lines. The ideal candidate will be:
• Experienced in developing, and carrying out testing on complex systems comprising software and hardware
• Hands on tester who is at ease setting up both hardware and software test environments
• Results orientated, understand how they can help deliver to schedule and budget.

Test Process:
•To help drive continuous improvement of our Test process' and procedures
•To Work with our Hamburg Teams to ensure we share best practice across both sites

•To design and document appropriate testing for both manual and automated testing
•To carry out Integration, verification and Validation testing of Radar and ECDIS Systems
•To develop and run automated test scripts
•To carry out investigation of defects and to provide feedback to the development team using our defect tracking tool

•Occasional travel both within the UK and further afield

Skills & Experience

•Degree in a technical subject, equivalent qualification (e.g.HND) or experience.
•Strong experience of System Engineering Verification andValidation
•Understanding of Verification and Validation for Softwareprojects.
•Experience of automated test scripting (in Python orSimilar)
•Good written and oral communication skills.
•Good interpersonalskills
•Ability to learn and assimilate new technical information quickly andthoroughly.

•Experience of Agile development and testing usingScrum.
•Use of Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence and Bamboo).
•Knowledgeof Marine Type Approval
•Knowledge of Marine Products (specifically Radar andECDIS)
•Experience of testing in a safety critical or regulated industry(E.g. Aerospace, Rail, etc.)
•Experience with testing to IEC Standards
