Job description

S Cartwright & Sons (Coachbuilders) Limited are a well-established coachbuilder/trailer manufacturer and supplier to the UK and International markets. We manufacture a wide range of trailers from curtainsiders, double-deck and refrigerated units as well as more bespoke, custom built options for our customers.

As a Sunday Times "Fast Track 250" Company and winner of the 2018 Commercial Motor Awards "Coachbuilder of the Year" we are well underway with our ambitious growth strategy and plans for 2019.

To develop our business even further, we are now looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the team and work amongst our Procurement and Materials departments, ensuring the successful delivery of a fluid end-to-end supply chain process which will enable us to manage our production and manufacturing activities effectively, ultimately leading to excellent levels of customer service and a high-quality product.

Responsibilities

* Ensure we have the right materials at the right time for successful delivery of an efficient manufacturing process

* Take control of stock, identify requirements, place orders, liaise with suppliers

* Responsible for the day-to-day running of the supply chain functions

* Continuously liaise with stakeholders and managers across the business to assess needs and demands

* Innovative sourcing of new suppliers for goods and services to achieve best value and quality

* Explore and lead continuous improvement projects to streamline processes and eliminate waste

* Drive Supply Chain performance measures for inventory reduction and cost control

* Manage maintenance and accurate updating of data onto internal systems

* Lead inventory reporting and action plans

* Preparation of reports for management

Requirements

* Supply Chain experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing environment is essential

* Self-motivated, meticulous and pro-active approach

* Possess and analytical and operational mindset

* Experience of working on a strategic level

* Ability to encourage and inspire others

* Thrives in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

* Previous knowledge of trailer manufacturing and the associated costs would be hugely advantageous

* Manufacturing/Supply Chain related professional qualification

* CIPS qualification would be an advantage
