About the Role

Our client is looking for a rail-biased Senior Project Engineer to be responsible for delivery of a variety of projects. You will manage all assurance and technical activities in order to ensure that projects are complete to standard in regards to quality, safety & compliance.

You will be responsible for managing the technical and assurance activities in order to meet project objectives. Engineering coordination and integration is key to the successful running of the project. You should also be confident operating within a multi discipline alliance environment.

You will also be responsible for;

* Delivering designs to programme

* Managing multi-disciplinary teams in relation to project designs

* Overseeing & revising deliverables in order to ensure compliance with legislation & project requirements

* Enhancing and delivering project-wide multi-disciplinary design for infrastructure projects

* Required to integrate line-of-route railway infrastructure and systems with other packages of work throughout the project or programme

* Working closely with individual discipline CREs from within the business and a variety of different design houses

* Setting and embedding the project technical delivery strategy

* Prepare project status reports and regular reporting back to the Project Manager or Project Director on resource, programme, technical interfaces and compliance issues that impact on the technical delivery.

About You

* Experience within the railway industry, the majority of which has been focused on managing the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects

* Previous experience of utilising Network Rail and railway industry standards and regulations including the GRIP process, with experience of integration and coordination of multi-disciplinary railway system projects and technical disciplines

* Good knowledge of railway systems (OLE, Signalling, Traction Power, Earthing & Bonding, Telecomms) and railway civil infrastructure

* Clear understanding of applicable industry standards and legislation including proven experience of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Common Safety Method (CSM) and Technical Specification for Interoperability

* Attention to detail and good technical report writing, communication/ presentation and inter-personal skills
