Job description

Summary of Position:

The Project Design Engineer IMOD will have the following main responsibilities:

- Manage the P145 activities for the IMOD Contract, involving overall definition of systems design for integration of IMOD GOIFE systems into the AW119MKII

- Preparations of all systems review documentation and closure of actions for SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR both at AWPC and Israel where required

- Support LHIT DO with definition of TC engineering data for all aspects of IMOD design activity for incorporation into the P145 build

- Support the Manager PMPSC in AWPC for the new design activities to integrate the IMOD GOIFE equipment's in to the P145 build

- Provide co-ordination between LHIT/AWPC/IMOD/Elbit for test/development activities carried out in P145.

- Working with the customer support team to ensure design can be supported in service

The Project Design Engineer IMOD will interact and coordinate with the following departments/customers/suppliers:

- AWPC: Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Product Support, & PSE

- LH DO Italy: CPE office, Avionics Systems Team, Customer Support group

- Customer/Suppliers: IMOD and Israeli Air Force, Key suppliers Elbit and Garmin, plus multiple sub level systems suppliers



Job Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Manage the P145 activities for the IMOD Contract, involving overall definition of systems design for integration of IMOD GOIFE systems into the AW119MKII

Qualifications for Position:

- Bachelor Degree in mechanical or aerospace or avionics engineering desirable but not mandatory.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in aeronautical/aerospace technical and operations environment.

- Knowledge of the design and manufacturing of the helicopter systems. Planning and

- Project management. Knowledge of DOA processes.

- Ability to use CATIA, AutoCAD and Solidworks an advantage

- Ability to work in a team.

- Troubleshooting/Problem Solving/Decision Making and communications.

- Knowledge of Italian a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

- ITAR clearance
