Under the direction of the Principal, responsibilities will include; manage all aspects of a variety of assigned projects including clarifying scope, schedule, technical approach, design, time tracking and client invoicing. The Project Manager will also oversee engineers to ensure that the technical quality of project documents are met. The project manager monitors and directs workflow on assigned projects while meeting scheduled phase deadlines for drawings and specifications. Is also responsible for tracking project profitability and ensuring accurate client invoicing. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, mature and seasoned professional. They will foster and maintain good client relationships while managing project MEP design from programming to final construction documents and they will remain involvedthrough the completion of the construction project. Detailed coordination with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing departments will be expected. Candidate will provide leadership to firm engineers, designers and drafting teams in order to providethe client with accurate construction documents while meeting project deadlines.Technical TasksIn a supervisory capacity, plans, develops, coordinates large engineering projects or a number of small projects with some complex features. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in meetings to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. Capable of understanding the clients needs and desires from limited input information.Coordinate with Architect and Structural engineer during design and construction.Work with Contractor during construction. General TasksProducing proposals for projects based upon the knowledge gained from previous experience.Regular check-ups with clients to ensure that we are performing as desired.Participates in the preparation of annual performance review of subordinates.Assist management in determining personnel needs and deployment. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution10+ years of related engineering experienceGreat communicator with clients and staff.The ability to work with less experienced staff and assist in developing them.Project and revenue forecasting and scheduling.Should be self-motivated and able to meet goals with little oversight. Preferred QualificationsRefining design and drafting process for increased efficiency.Encouraging new design processes such as using Dynamo, Revit plug-ins, etc.Energetic and driven, while understanding how to achieve a good work-life balance.Excited about the AEC field.Design-Build experience we have General Contracting services as part of our organization. Passion for efficiency in all aspects.Licensed as a PE is a plus, but not required Professional DevelopmentAttend industry associated seminars and meetings to network for the Company and obtain PDH credit.Present technical power points about projects or methods.Become part of industry organization, based on engineering interests.Licensed as a PE is a plus, but not required.
