Position: Full Stack Engineer
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Smithfield, RI


In this role, you will serve as a Software Engineer within the Digital Platforms Development team. You will be responsible for the creation of quality web-based software components that are used by Client's workplace and retail customers. You will work closely with the scrum master, systems analysts, architects, and other developers to design, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Client's internet experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong software development skills using Java and web application technologies in a service oriented architecture
  • Experience in Server Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat.
  • Working experience of Inversion of Control, dependency injection, and MVC design pattern
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web design and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis and test driven development
  • Experience with Open Source Frameworks - Spring MVC, Spring Core. XML, Integration with RESTful Web Services
  • Strong internet security knowledge and best practices
  • Experience and knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 , Ajax, JQuery, JSON, SLF4J, and Logback

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GIT, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, JIRA
  • Node JS and Angular 2+ (This team will be the first team to use Angular 8)
  • Containerization and cloud deployment (This is where this team is headed, so an opportunity to lead this work, or be exposed to it)
