Prospero Teaching are looking for a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a fantastic preparatory school in the Swindon area in their SEN department.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will be providing specialist 1:1 support to children with a range of SEN/SEMH needs including mainly ASD and Autism. Other SEN needs may include dyslexia, learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs.

As the school is a Preparatory School, you may be required to work with a range of ages from age 2-11.

The SEN TA position is available to individuals who have considerable experience working with children with special needs, in particular ASD and Autism.

The position is supply-based and hours are part-time on various days and hours per week. Candidates that are flexible and open to changing shifts would be ideal.

A level of understanding about childcare and special educational needs - essential
SEN experience - essential
Autism/ASD Training - desirable
Autism/ASD Experience - highly desirable
Teaching Assistant Qualfications - desirable
Previous experience working with children
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year - Prospero can offer this training
Team Teach qualification - desirable

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
