Business need for this role:
* In need of a Scrum Master to work on a new project within the department.

* Qualifications: Deep understanding of Agile rules, practices and artifacts; Ability to influence behavior without having organizational hierarchy, courageous, problem solver; organized and disciplined

Years of overall experience required:
* 4 + years' experience

Day to day responsibilities:
* Scrum Master (100% dedicated to 1-2 teams
* Role summary: Enforces the rules of the agile process; educates the team on Agile process issues and Identifies improvement opportunities to increase velocity and quality; facilitates key ceremonies

1. Role primary responsibilities
a. Helps educate the team on Agile process; identifies team improvement opportunities to increase velocity and quality, e.g., by bringing in best practices from outside and from peers (other SMs)
b. Ensures team ceremonies are effective and manages ceremony logistics e.g.,
i. Each Sprint, makes sure team has capacity recorded, and that it is correctly balanced
ii. Works with the Product Owner to make sure User Stories are ready and also that they are accepted
iii. Manages invitations to and presence at ceremonies, e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint and release planning, demos, etc.,
iv. Facilitates retrospectives; Follow-up on actions from retrospectives
v. Each Sprint, ensures look-ahead to the next Sprint, e.g., thinking about the upcoming User Stories
vi. Each Sprint, makes sure the Scrum Team has identified and sized the tasks before the Sprint Planning meeting
vii. Organizes and facilitates demonstrations of the product between the Product Owner and the team
c. Promotes team-building and collaborative culture
d. Facilitates and ensures the removal of obstacles by the team, e.g., helps team manage distractions and avoid scope changes. If the team can't resolve then will escalate in agreed way
e. Tracks team's Agile process metrics and communicates to stakeholders, e.g., Burn-down charts

Degrees or certifications required:
* CSM Required

How will performance be measured:
*Business value delivered.
*Monthly touch bases with the manager.

Interaction with HM and other team members:
* 2 Agile teams (10 -12)
