SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS ENGINEER Current Incumbent: N/A Department: Digital Information Solution Reports to: Director, Data and Applications Management Direct Reports: 0 Status: Full-Time, Exempt Indirect Reports: 0 Updated: 9/10/19 CWW/Telework Eligible: Yes SUMMARY OF POSITION: The position is responsible for design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Salesforce and other custom database and SOA applications used by NAA, its affiliates, and members. The incumbent will identify opportunities for technical enhancements and process optimization within NAA's Salesforce-based AMS and other applications. Reporting to the Director of Data and Applications Management, the candidate will act as technical lead in developing, modifying, and updating NAA's suite of applications. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Build and maintain digital products and services to support business functions and meet project objectives and organization goals. • Communicate and collaborate with project managers to design intelligent and effective business solutions. • Provide system administration support of internal and member-facing CRM/AMS environment, especially related to customized applications, custom objects, workflows, and data transfers. • Work with project teams to develop business requirements, process flows, and application designs. • Develop and maintain API code and s-controls to support custom development interfaces. • Develop programs in Salesforce Apex, Javascript, and other supporting languages and APIs. • Serve as technical lead for developing and prioritizing change requests, system alterations, and customization. • Other design, development, and programming duties as assigned. • Other IT related duties and responsibilities as requested. Ethical practice SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE TRAVEL: LITTLE TO NO TRAVEL REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • 7-8 years in software development and configuration • Experienced in designing, developing, and maintaining business database applications • Expertise in SOA related tools: API, REST, SOAP, EDI, etc • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment • Competency in documenting business requirements and test cases • Experience managing deployments and applying deployment best practices • Systems perspective and demonstrated ability to craft creative, efficient solutions to complex requirements • Ability to produce and execute with ambiguous requirements and interrupt driven environment PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Proficient with Salesforce Lightning Experience, Apex, SOQL, SOSL, VisualForce, and JavaScript • Experience using data tools such as Data Loader and Excel Connector • Current Salesforce certifications: Advanced Administrator, Platform 1, Platform II Developer • Experience with Pardot, Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud • Experience working with associations and Association Management Systems specifically, Nimble • PMI-ACP PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
