SeaChange is currently interviewing for qualified candidates to perform responsibilities as a Brazil based, Sales Engineer for our customers primarily located in Brazil. Based in South America and reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, the Sales Engineer, Brazil is responsible for supporting and managing all aspects of the technical engagement with customers, prospects and official partners while in parallel working alongside the in-region Sales Manager while attaining booking/revenue objectives from the sale of our suite of video solution platforms and services.
NET and Globosat are some of the SeaChange customers in this region of CaLA and necessitate both a strategic approach in effectively aligning SeaChange with the key technical, operational and architectural decision makers. This position will also work closely with our regional partners VGL and BVS.
The successful candidate will provide essential technical leadership, support and guidance as follows:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
•As a member of the CaLA sales team working with the in-region Sales Manager assist in achieving quarterly bookings objectives from existing customers and prospect accounts across the region both directly and in collaboration with an official partner.
•Managing all aspects of technical pre-sales activates across the greater Brazil region while supporting our partners.
•Technical ownership of the assigned end user account(s), partners including solution positioning, proposals and presentation of the SeaChange solution platforms. The successful candidate must possess native Portuguese and Spanish fluency as well as demonstrate excellent oral and written English communication skills.
•Supporting company's efforts on strategic activities within the region.
•Develop and present relevant product and solution differentiation to prospects, customers, including senior management and members of technical staff.
•Manage the qualified evaluation (PoC process) of our products and solutions at customer locations from beginning to end with the active support from our official partner where applicable.
•Respond to technical inquiries from prospects, customers, partners and sales colleagues by providing Quotes, Pre-sales Solution proposals, and Statements of Work as required.
•Provide timely and effective feedback to management and other members of the account team regarding account status, product issues, and possible improvements in Seachange solutions and go to market approach.
•Assisting Seachange sales, partner sales and during trials, product installations and upgrades.
•Build and maintain a technical relationship with the customer as a trusted advisor and video subject matter expert.
•Support and advance the Companies quality efforts and procedures for continuous improvement.

•10+ years' experience in video technical field support roles with increasing levels of responsibility. 5+ years' experience creating and leading technical field support organizations. Demonstrated organizational and leadership excellence.
•Existing and demonstrable relationships established with end user accounts such as but not limited to; NET, Claro, OI, GloboSAT, SKY, Algar Telecom, and others.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Able to interface and communicate effectively with customers, senior management, and staff. Solid personal presence.
•Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. Able to identify and resolve issues in timely manner.
•Self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment; able to succeed in a remote based position and to deliver quarterly results under pressure.
•Education: BS/MS degree.
•Field of study: Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline
•Industry related certifications are highly desired.
•Candidate must possess existing technical relationships in the Cable, Telco, or Satellite video industry end user accounts.
•Strong technical and business knowledge with complementary skills to understand the customer's business and technical drivers, challenges and strategic business direction.
•Significant travel is required including international when required; Travel 50%+.
•Experience with Back Office functions, CDN architectures, CRM and Billing, legacy and IP/OTT Video Clients, Adaptive Bit Rate streaming, manifest manipulation and on-the-fly packaging, digital rights management technologies, including understanding of video file formats, and video business models as well as Online Video Platforms and OTT video distribution models
•Very strong understanding of the end-to-end digital media ecosystem, live and on-demand video workflow including signal acquisition, encoding, publishing, ad serving, online video platform services, content delivery, subscriber management and client side applications.
