SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Brand Content and Partnerships Team develops cross-platform marketing programs that leverage the power of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Ellen Digital Network to create custom solutions for advertisers and brand partners. The team works with ELLENs award-winning writers and producers to develop, create and distribute custom branded content that reaches fans at scale across all platforms.We are looking for an experienced Account Executive with a passion for content, marketing and client services to drive revenue through the sale of custom cross-platform content and media programs. This includes on-air partnerships (including in-show integrations) along with the Ellen Digital Networks original slate of programming, mobile and gaming content, social platforms, digital media and beyond.The position will be focused on developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with clients that enable the Brand Content & Partnerships Team to drive revenue against specific sales targets. This is done while delivering exceptional marketing solutions and the highest levels of client service with top-tier partners.Successful candidates will have experience selling branded content and custom partnership programs with a strong understanding of the brand, agency, publisher and content landscape. The candidate must be strategic and solution-oriented with the ability to go beyond traditional sales tools in order to close deals. This is a creative sales role with revenue goals.Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are critical, with an ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced and team-oriented content production environment. An understanding of complex org structures is key, with an ability to quickly adjust to various types of work environments and communication styles with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProactively prospect, grow and close business to meet and exceed sales goals with a focus on driving multi-platform programs.Powerfully articulate and present ELLEN opportunities in the marketplace while leading sales & pitch meetings with agencies and brands. Develop a deep understanding of the ELLEN brand and content ecosystem in order to create exemplary and innovative integrated marketing programs for brand partners. Incorporate best-in-class strategies to package and sell linear, digital, mobile/gaming content, app, social and video assets. Own and shape sales strategy for specific categories and accounts, including goal and revenue projections.Work with management to accurately forecast revenue, offering clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively and accurately updating deal pipelines and sales status.Drive revenue goals while maintaining a respectful and team-oriented approach toward the internal support organization.Provide meaningful marketplace feedback on ELLEN offerings including brand perception, programs and ad capabilities.Maintain a deep understanding of competitors and industry trends.Proactively share learnings with the team and incorporate them into sales packages. JOB REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 3 years of integrated sales experience with a solid understanding of developing and analyzing media plansExperience managing and closing large custom content deals and integrated, multi-platform programsCurrent list of agency and client relationshipsAbility to independently prospect, develop a new business pipeline and close dealsKnowledge and understanding of advertising pricing and packagingExperience creating effective pitch materials, sales decks & proposals (Keynote, PowerPoint, etc.)Must be a problem solver and creative thinkerSelf-starter with strong team ideals and an entrepreneurial spiritMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travel as needed
