This position delivers a wide array of project work, using fundamental understanding of process improvement methods and application, to translate business challenges into automation solutions. The RPA Business Analyst will support deployment of RPA strategy, including the prioritization of potential use cases, creating detailed design documents, and testing developed solutions. Incumbent will perform business analysis, systems analysis, process re-engineering, and apply understanding of how automation can solve complex technology issues.

Essential Functions

  • Manage major project activities from concept and business case development through solution selection, documentation of requirements, design and implementation of automation solutions
  • Assess current operating procedures and use process improvement methodologies to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
  • Apply process improvement methods and tools; analyze relevant data to ensure fact/data based decisions are made
  • Design and execute test plans, test the business processes, business exceptions and business results while guiding the process SME/Owners during UAT
  • Work closely with the CoE Development team on all technical aspects of RPA automations
  • Track progress and report on success and performance metrics of automation projects
  • Identify key performance indicators and establish process linkages with dashboards
  • Support department(s) in achieving their efficiency assignments and goals; work closely with representatives in each area to identify and define a prioritized list of projects for automation
  • Share learnings with Process Excellence department and appropriate management
  • Identify and define broader cross-functional ideas to Process Excellence and RPA CoE teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of business experience with specific experiences in support of process improvement and productivity required
  • Experience in process automation (RPA) strongly preferred
  • Experience in financial industry desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree with emphasis in a technical (science or engineering) field or business (finance) preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt not required, but desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to assess existing processes and determine where to incorporate technical solutions
  • Ability to use process improvement tools and methodologies to improve current processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids
  • Basic proficiencies in analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions
  • Ability to independently gather data, perform analysis and recommend courses of action
  • Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities
  • Ability to model concepts and to access and manipulate data through self-system access and personal analysis
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
  • Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment
