The Salvation Army?s Clitheroe Women?s Residential Program is accepting applications for two (2) full-time Behavioral Health Associates (BHAs) to support the clinical staff to assure treatment outcomes by supervising client activities and chores. The BHA position
performs data entry; prepares paperwork; conducts client intakes and orientation groups; documents client behaviors in EHR; and assists with operational functions and scheduling. This position also monitors clients and provides client education, as well as
accompanies and/or transports clients on approved passes. As needed, the BHA facilitates client recovery skills groups.
These are full-time positions with benefits. Starting rate is $13.33/hour.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE but are not limited to:
? Maintain internal program statistics, referrals data, and follow-up records; enter data into Intergy EHR, AKAIMS, and other databases; perform electronic transmissions and produce related reports
? Perform client intake and program orientation; lead house routines and monitor client behavior, notifying primary counselor via EHR documentation when action is needed
? Support clients in completing assignments and step work; provide feedback
? De-escalate clients in emergency situations using crisis intervention techniques, followed by immediate contact with supervisor and/or counselor
? Provide client education, give presentations, and lead discussion sessions with clients
? High School diploma or equivalency; Alaska State Counselor Technician certificate preferred
? One (1) year experience in field of substance abuse, homelessness, or related field
? One (1) year experience in clerical and data entry work; proficient in use of general office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, databases, Intergy EHR, and report-generating programs; familiarity with AKAIMS preferred
? Knowledge of or experience in client care in a clinical or medical setting
? Knowledge of peer support mentorship, advocacy, and recovery support; understanding of trauma-informed care
? Organized; detail-oriented; ability to work harmoniously with peers, supervisors, clients, families, and visitors
? Ability to meet deadlines, observe confidentiality, remain self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision
? Must complete and adhere to Protect the Mission (PTM) requirements and guidelines, including acceptable results on the background checks required by The Salvation Army for employment (including fingerprint-based check to meet State of Alaska requirements)
? Valid Alaska Driver License with acceptable driving record required
