Corepeople is the North Easts largest, privately owned, built environment recruitment agency. With a proven history of successfully managing permanent and temporary staff appointments across a vast array of construction disciplines, from trades and labour to technical and professional specialists, we have built a solid reputation for delivering a top-quality, professional and thorough service to construction businesses and candidates alike in this domain.

We are inviting applications from graduate calibre candidates from any academic background to join our 2019 training scheme which provides the ideal introduction to the world of recruitment. Upon its successful completion consultants will possess all of the skills necessary to succeed in providing bespoke staffing solutions to the built environment. The scheme is aimed at 2018 or 2019 graduates or school leavers, with a new intake starting every month from April to September.

You will work with main contractors and subcontractors, developers, surveying and architectural practices, as well as consulting engineering firms, who are operating throughout the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire - businesses ranging from sole practitioners to the largest, nationally and internationally recognised players. Our teams are structured in such a way that each individual consultant has specific ownership of their part of the marketplace, and is charged with the following responsibilities:

Financial sales and placements
Developing business with our existing clients as well as new
Promoting tailored and quality methods of recruitment
Negotiating terms of business
Marketing and promoting vacancies
Interviewing candidates

We require our consultants to work hard, but we teach them how to work efficiently, positioning them to maximise every opportunity for long term wins and ultimately, their own financial gain.

No construction industry experience is necessary!

Recruitment is not for the faint-hearted, and this role requires someone who has real determination to succeed in a tough work environment and highly competitive industry. Successful recruitment consultants are excited by the hunt for opportunity and the win of turning that into business, and are capable of establishing rapport and developing relationships in order to manage and influence situations.

At Corepeople, a consultants individual area of work can be equated to running their own business, so we invite people to work for us who can demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, commercial awareness, confidence in dealing with people, as well as the robust character traits required to handle the highs and lows of the job and the resilience to recover from a setback when needed.

Graduates can expect to join us with a minimum basic salary of £18,500 per annum - although this is negotiable - and can expect on target earnings of between £25,000 and £30,000 in their first year.
Additionally, all of our colleagues receive generous benefits, with profit share, private health, permanent health insurance and death in service cover coming as standard. If you can demonstrate appropriate experience you can expect to benefit from an industry-leading rewards package considerably in excess of this.
