The Finance & Capital Markets (F&CM) Proposals Associate Manager is responsible for supporting the development of pitch responses for must win pitch opportunities across the Firm's London based Finance and Capital Markets practice. This role sits within the transactional part of the practice and requires an individual with a natural flare for proposal writing and an understanding of the sophistication required by our clients and our business.
This is a newly created role, to address the increasing demands for more complex pitch responses and tender requests.
The main aims of the role are:
To support the development and delivery of best in class proposals and tender responses for the London F&CM practice
To develop and implement an efficiency model for pitching across the F&CM practice and to work with the wider team to develop and implement a SLA for pitching
Working with the wider team to support the creation and/or maintenance of general marketing materials including capability statements and practice brochures
Working with the wider team to support the creation of boiler plate text and case studies
Working with the wider team to maintain rigor around deadlines for Directories and Awards submissions
Working with the wider team to conduct win/loss debriefs for F&CM proposals and tenders
Reporting monthly on London F&CM proposal activity, developing appropriate metrics, tracking trends and win/loss debrief messages in order to continually develop the Clifford Chance approach to winning business
You will work closely with partners and BD management to create and maintain momentum in winning new business
You will be expected to bring innovation and new ideas to proposals
Skills & Experience
In order to perform this role successfully, the candidate will require:
A passion for pitching and winning work
Experience of working on competitive proposals and pitches, ideally within the professional services market
Experience of working within a law firm or professional services firm
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior management
Proven ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and act discreetly when required
Attention to detail and the ability to draft copy a must
In addition we are looking for candidates with:
Strong project management skills (including management of multiple projects at the same time)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong IT literacy: proficiency with Microsoft Office and exposure to database and web development
