GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking aProject Managerto join it's New York City based team!Project Manager, Store Design and Planning Department StoresReporting to the Vice President of Facilities and Store Planning, this position supports the store development process for department store shop-in-shops and freestanding retail locations.This role will contributes to G-IIIs success by supporting the store design process to create outstanding shop designs including store layouts, store displays, fixtures, graphics, and department shop designs.Must build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the company, including our department store partners, Facilities, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Field Teams. The process is inclusive of all phases of design from schematic through construction documents and administration while honoring budget, schedule, and operational requirements.ResponsibilitiesLeads and supports store planning and design initiatives and activities for assigned brands and special projects as neededBuilds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and develops store design layouts that are brand appropriate and operationally effectiveCoordinates with external architects, design consultants, and fixture vendors to ensure seamless integration with process flowInterfaces with Construction, Facilities, Procurement, Store Operations, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, IT, and field leadership teams in the store development process.Develops creative solutions for store fixtures, displays, and marketing collateral Prepares both 2D architectural plans and elevation proposal and 3D rendering proposals for reviewDesigns and develops fixtures, displays, graphics, feature areas, and store environments as required to support business initiatives.Participates in design reviews of shop drawings, graphic programs, and merchandising systems to ensure design intent is met and brand integrity is maintained.Participates in the review of final drawings for each project to ensure plans and details are accurate and in keeping with brand standards and design intentAssists with Facilities projects relating to internal office moves as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree with preference in architecture, Interior Design, or Industrial DesignPosition requires minimum 3 years related experienceMUST HAVE: Specialized computer software skills to include AutoCAD, Adobe Creative SuiteSketch-Up with VRay is a PLUSBoth MAC and PC proficient, Knowledge of MS Office SuiteExcellent ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging.Excellent project management skillsHighly organized and flexible with ability to take initiative, multitask, and prioritize projectsSelf-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external partnersMust thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and closely with othersExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem solving skillsA team player with a proven record of building partnershipsExcellent ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging.
