Job description

Production Support Engineer.

Leading Financial Amsterdam 65,000 euros pa Sponsorship provided

You will be working with external clients to integrate their systems to our clients trading platform with strong technical and European language skills to support the European business. Responsibilities include day-to-day technical support, systems integration and MIS reporting as needed by internal and external business users. Other light duties will also include onsite technology support around Workstation access and helping to manage onsite infrastructure issues that may arise.

Experience required:

At least 3 years of Production Support experience in the financial industry.

Prior experience in Application/Production support required.

Fixed Income and/or regulatory experience or knowledge advantageous

Provide customer focused application support, using business and technology knowledge effectively

Ability to resolve problems and incidents across multiple technology areas

Knowledge of UNIX, SQL, XML and Scripting Language useful

Configuration and management of vendor or bespoke monitoring toolsets

Networking concepts & protocols in a trading environment

General understanding of corporate infrastructure and network patching

Ability to learn new skills involving desktop software deployment, video conferencing and mobile applications

Duties:

Provide technical support to external Dealer and Client users of the client's platform primarily located in Europe.

Ensure all support tickets are followed up, prioritised and closed as appropriate

Provide a central first-line and second line support function for Europe.

Own and proactively resolve issues in the production/service requests and ensure they are correctly logged in the ticketing system.

Help coordinate local issues including UAT, Client on-boarding, Production and infrastructure queries and issues and assist in raising these with the correct internal teams.

Provide internal technical support for internal business users.

Perform daily application checks, user logins and monitor critical processes.

Review and improve support processes and monitoring tools.

Basic MIS Reporting activities provide adhoc reports to external/internal customers.

Undertake other occasional additional duties as may be reasonably required such as weekend support during releases and other Integration/support tasks which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

Undertake training in other locations and willingness to visit other offices for long periods of time (if necessary)

Configure, test, deploy and troubleshoot a varied range of software applications

Support our telephone and video conference system (Cisco/Polycom)

Mobile Computing - iPhone, iPad, Android mobile setup and configuration, MDM experience.
