Paralegal/Legal Assistant - MUST HAVE PARALEGAL CERTIFICATE

Position is in TAX- Criminal Enforcement Section
Position requires candidate to possess a paralegal legal certificate.
At least one year of litigation paralegal experience required.
Must be comfortable with preforming many legal assistant tasks.
Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum and must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research.
? Demonstrated ability to review a wide variety of documents, both legal and non-legal documents, including motions and briefs, a variety of legal correspondence, banking and financial statements
? Computer Skills: In addition to the ability to use MS Word and MS Outlook, the candidate must have strong MS Excel spreadsheet skills as well as experience in other databases such as MS Access and Relativity. Must also be familiar with Word Perfect, Adobe Acrobat Professional, CaseMap, and perform legal research in Lexis/Nexis and /or Westlaw.
Communication skills are extremely important. Works and interacts professionally and effectively with all levels of staff. Ability to meet established deadlines and work as a team player in a professional office. Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
Provides assistance and guidance to colleagues to work collectively as a team
? Prepares, organizes, tracks, and indexes discovery and other exhibit materials in databases.
