Job description

Simply Gum is a New York based confections brand. We're looking for a full-time Operations Manager to help support the operations of the business. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, fast paced company, during its early stages of growth. You'll be exposed to multiple aspects of the business and will have the opportunity to advance within the company, as we expand.


We're seeking someone who is passionate about natural food. Someone who is as scrappy as they are thorough and as creative as they are analytical. You'll be working with a fun and energetic team and reporting to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Sales to come up with business and operating forecasts
  • Working with our plant to ensure consistent production and delivery of product
  • Designing and implementing continuous improvement processes for our factory
  • Overseeing various administrative and finance functions, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as chargebacks
  • Helping support the day to day operations of the business
  • Handling all supply chain, inventory, and procurement; working with our suppliers to improve the efficiency of our supply chain and finding ways to reduce costs
  • Performing R&D research for new products
  • Managing company budget to align with goals of business


Your experience is:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work quickly and independently, while also collaborating in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • A desire to work in a small, fast paced, unstructured environment and is self motivated
  • Strong work ethic. Entrepreneurial. Desire to take initiative. No task too small or too large
  • Excellent modeling skills and strategic thinking skills
  • Knowledge and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Finance and accounting skills are a plus
