Job description

My client based in Edgbaston are looking for a retail memberships support assistant to join their existing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 month experience in customer service with some sales.

Main duties and responsibilities

Answer inbound calls from existing members, providing accurate and up-to-date information about member services and providing excellent customer service.

Make outbound calls to members and prospective members to inform them of the benefits of membership and to engage them in service uptake.

Be fully conversant with all current membership benefits and the operational processes for accessing these.

Ensure all reference materials (including the member area of the website) are accurate and up to date, taking responsibility for alerting your team leader if anything needs to be updated.

Continually update member records (contact name, email, telephone numbers etc.) and proactively seek to cleanse data at all opportunities.

Provide general advice/assistance to members or redirect them where appropriate to dedicated in-house or external service providers as appropriate.

Deliver membership renewal retention programmes to ensure all members pay their subscriptions on time and pro-actively promote Direct Debit payments.

Deliver membership recruitment programmes to ensure prospective members receive follow-up information and guide them through the sign-up process.

Deliver service uptake programmes to ensure that members are actively engaged with core services, which provide value to members.

Work as part of the Retail Support Team, providing assistance and support to Regional Membership Managers.
