Job description

We are seeking a 2 nd and 3 rd shift Material Control Center Specialist for a long-term contracted position at a manufacturing plant in Chattanooga, TN. 2 nd Shift - 2pm to 10:30pm

3 rd Shift - 10pm to 6:30am

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years job-related experience, automotive logistics background preferred

EDUCATION:

Required: High School diploma

Desired: Bachelor's degree

Job Requirements:

SPECIALIZED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR CERTIFICATIONS UNIQUE TO THIS ROLE

Required:

  • MS Office
  • SAP experience
  • Automotive experience

Desired:

  • MRP-background
  • SAP Key-User (MM, WM)


WORK FLEXIBILITY (TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, WORK SCHEDULE, ETC.):

  • Occasional supplier visits
  • Potential qualification abroad


ROLE SUMMARY:

To ensure continuous production by parts supply for a specific line section

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control of material flow for a specific line section
  • Liaise with all TM related to the material flow to the specific line section
  • Support critical supply situations and co-ordinate alternative supply solutions
  • Process failure analysis and documentation
  • Investigate systematic process flow errors and escalation

Proactive monitoring of systematic process (i.e. transfer orders not fulfilled, Min-Max level maintained, etc)
